Study on sound absorption properties of closed cell aluminum foam with different microporous structures

Abstract With the rapid development of modern society, environmental pollution is increasingly serious, among which noise has become world’s three major. At present, methods to solve problem are becoming more and diverse. Among them, use porous materials for sound absorption reduction still one most important ways. Open-cell aluminum foam high manufacturing costs limited application scenarios. Therefore, some scholars have studied low-cost closed-cell foam, hoping improve its coefficient. Closed-cell mainly used in insulation little ability. For improving property, researched influence mechanical perforation on acoustic property but potential small holes cannot be played due large aperture made during process. this paper designs processes different structures based high-speed EDM technology studies effect aperture, depth, rate peak value coefficient low middle-frequency bands (250HZ-2000Hz).
